EDIT 2013-04-13: The best way to launch fixed amounts of stock to stores is through allocations.
This is a small E3 ASR guide on how to launch a specific quantity of a SKU to all stores on a specified date with Plans. Please reply to the post, if you know better ways of doing this. This is not something I do a lot, because the need for allocating fixed quantities is rare.
- Find the SKU you want to lauch.
- New Plan.
- Fill out Account ID and Comment fields.
- If we want the SKU to be launched in the stores the 15th of May 2013, you will need to fill out the "Expected Receipt Date" and press the "Next" button.

- Select SKUs and Stores.

- You can easily select all stores.

- On the bottom list, double click on each line to specify a launch quantity, for example "8".

- When you are finished use the button "Approve" to execute the plans.
- If you are doing this for multiple SKUs, you can use the "Approve All" button.
